A sequel to the popular romantic mermaid drama which starred Darryl Hannah and Tom Hanks. Allen becomes bored on the deserted island on which he and Madison are currently living, and using a special power, Madison shows him exactly what's going on in his brother, Freddie's life. Through this, the couple realise that Allen's business is in trouble and return to New York - maybe contradicting the original, but Madison will only go "as long as I can soak my legs in Salty Water at the full moon". While there, they move into a new home (which has a pool in the back yard !), and Madison meets a new friend - Fern Hooten who might and might not know her secret. We are never told. While there, Madison sets herself a goal to save her Dolphin friend (Salty) who is in captivity, and while saving the business and the dolphin, she and Allen grow closer and re-kindle their love.

Several characters who are each at critical stages of their lives are strangely impelled towards an uncharted lake in the middle of the desert where they all have the opportunity to save each other.

The young daughter of a politician runs away due to lack of attention. She hides in the car of two not too bright crooks who are slowly converted into parent figures as the police web closes down on the supposed kidnappers.

Norman Bates is still running his little motel, and he has kept the dressed skeleton he calls mother. One of his guests is a young girl who has left the convent where she lived. To get some help he employs a young man. One day a nosey journalist comes to see him to ask questions about his past.

Buff sailor-man Popeye arrives in an awkward seaside town called Sweet Haven. There he meets Wimpy, a hamburger-loving man; Olive Oyl, the soon-to-be love of his life; and Bluto, a huge, mean pirate who's out to make Sweet Haven pay for no good reason. Popeye also discovers his long-lost Pappy in the middle of it all, so with a band of his new friends, Popeye heads off to stop Bluto, and he's got the power of spinach, which Popeye detests, to butt Bluto right in the mush. Watch as Popeye mops the floor with punks in a burger joint, stops a greedy tax man, takes down a champion boxer, and even finds abandoned baby Swee' Pea. He's strong to the finish 'cause he eats his spinach!
